Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.

Chinese Herbal Medicine & Food Therapy

Your body is made to heal itself, but it continually needs the right resources to do so efficiently and effectively. Adequate diet and proper lifestyle each play an important part in your body’s ability to heal, but these can be equally challenging to do in today’s modern world.

The roles of Chinese herbal medicine and food therapy are somewhat overlapped in TCM, because many of traditional Chinese herbs are commonly known and eaten, such as ginger, green onions, goji berries, and fennel seeds, to name a few. Sometimes the road to recovery is as easy as nourishing and supporting your body with sufficient amounts of nutrients to let your body do what it does innately.

As the father of medicine, Hippocrates, once said; “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.” ...And who are we to argue with the father of medicine?
